WebI've been having the same problem. Mac OS Mojave, on Safari. Contacted Apple about it, they said go to Microsoft. Contacted Microsoft about it, they said go to Apple. Contacted Apple again, they said update the OS. (can't do that for hardware reasons) Someone commented in this thread that turning off search suggestions fixed the issue.
