May 31, 2016 · WebMay 31, 2016 · Sometimes if a vehicle runs out of fuel it can get air in the fuel lines. Any time a vehicle runs out of fuel and more fuel is added, the key should be turned to the ’On’ position then back to the ’Off’ position three or four times to prime the fuel pump.
WebNov 13, 2024 · 2. the sensors trigger something and then feeding wrong info to the ECU, then the ECU adjusts itself to correct the correct amount of air/fuel mixture, the next time you start up, it's fine. That is the only thing I can think of. WebMay 4, 2005 · When refueling my '93 Grand Cherokee (4.0L) and the engine is hot (typically after stop and go city traffic), the engine often will not start for 10 to 15 minutes until it cools somewhat and then will start and run normally. Engine cranks okay, but appears to be suffering from fuel starvation. That will let the fuel pump run twice as long at full battery voltage to get the pressure up. If that works, it is not a solution. It is just a clue to the diagnosis.
